Anuj Thakur Death News: TV actor Anuj Thakur, known for his roles in television shows such as Dhoom Machao Dhoom, Bandhan Saath Janmon Ka, Beend Banoonga Ghodi Chadhunga and Mahisagar, passed away at the age of 33 on October 27. According to reports, the actor suffered a seizure while sleeping. His death was confirmed by his friend and collaborator, Rupesh Sonar, who shared a tribute on Instagram on October 30. Sonar later revealed that he learned about the circumstances of Anuj’s death after meeting his family, who informed him that the actor had suffered a seizure during sleep.
“Still can’t believe that you are no longer with us. You were not just a friend but like a little brother to me. We had so many projects planned together, and I still remember witnessing your struggles during your initial days and seeing your journey. Life is truly unpredictable. It’s heartbreaking to accept that you are gone so soon. This news feels unreal. You will always be remembered, brother. Rest in peace,” wrote Rupesh on Instagram.

Seizures are commonly associated with sudden jerking movements, loss of consciousness and temporary changes in behaviour. While most seizures stop on their own within a few minutes, certain types can become life-threatening and, in rare cases, may result in death.
A seizure occurs when there is a sudden, abnormal burst of electrical activity in the brain. It can affect a person’s movements, awareness, behaviour and bodily functions. Although seizures are often associated with epilepsy, they can also occur due to infections, head injuries, low blood sugar, electrolyte imbalances, stroke and other medical conditions.
But how can a seizure actually cause death? According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), seizure-related deaths can occur due to breathing difficulties, dangerous changes in heart rhythm, prolonged seizure activity or complications such as drowning and injuries. One recognised complication is Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP), which is rare but remains an important concern among people living with epilepsy.
