Mumbai-based Entod Pharmaceuticals has developed a new eye drop called PresVu, which has been approved by India’s drug regulatory agency for the treatment of presbyopia.

What is Presbyopia?

Presbyopia is a common vision problem that usually begins in the mid-40s and worsens with age. It makes it hard to focus on close objects, which is why many people over 40 start needing reading glasses.

A Game-Changer for Presbyopia Patients

Entod Pharmaceuticals has created PresVu Eye Drops to help people with presbyopia see better without needing reading glasses. PresVu is the first eye drop in India design for this purpose. The product receive final approval from the Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) after being recommend by the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation’s (CDSCO) Subject Expert Committee (SEC).

Advanced Technology and Benefits

What makes PresVu special is its unique formula, which not only helps improve near vision but also keeps the eyes lubricated. The eye drops use advanced dynamic buffer technology, which adapts quickly to the natural pH of tears. This ensures that the drops remain effective and safe for long-term use.

Availability and Pricing

PresVu eye drops will be available in pharmacies from the first week of October and will priced at Rs 350 per bottle. The drops intended for people aged 40 to 55 years with mild to moderate presbyopia. The company has also applied for a patent for this innovative formula and its manufacturing process.

CEO’s Statement

Nikkhil K Masurkar, CEO of Entod Pharmaceuticals, expressed his enthusiasm about the approval. He stated, “PresVu is the result of years of dedicated research and development. PresVu is more than just a product; it’s a solution that stands to improve the lives of millions by offering them greater visual independence.”
