The world is no longer unfamiliar with the amazing health benefits of turmeric. After the COVID-19 pandemic, turmeric shots have become increasingly popular for improving immunity. Turmeric is a distinct spice, which is also called Golden Spice. Since it contains multiple superb health benefits, people in India have been using it for ages. Here we will delve into some amazing benefits of consuming turmeric water or haldi water every day.

Turmeric water is considered an Ayurvedic remedy that is a brilliant detox beverage that supports health and wellness. Turmeric helps ease the risk of heart ailments. Heart disease is one of the leading causes of death across the globe, and severe inflammation is the prime reason behind heart issues. Drinking turmeric water helps reduce inflammation in the body. Haldi water can enhance the lining of blood vessels. Turmeric helps ease fat cell growth and promotes weight loss. Elevated levels of stress can cause weight gain as uncontrollable stress hormones like cortisol can trigger fat accumulation around the stomach area. Turmeric efficiently balances stress hormones and prevents fat build-up. High levels of cholesterol are led by oxidative stress caused by high blood glucose and severe inflammation. Turmeric eases inflammation in the body and majorly helps maintain healthy cholesterol levels.

Drinking turmeric water boosts brain function and improves skin health. Curcumin found in turmeric stimulates a protein in the brain known as BDNF.  High levels of BDNF are associated with improved memory and temper, whereas low levels of this protein might elevate the risk of depression and Alzheimer’s disease. Anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties found in turmeric help reduce signs of aging and reduce the odds of skin issues such as acne.

Turmeric helps maintain healthy levels of blood sugar, reduce joint aches, cleanse the body, and improve immunity, digestion, and sleep quality as well. People should consume around 500-1,000 mg of turmeric per day. To prepare turmeric water, add one teaspoon of turmeric to boiled water, add a teaspoon of lemon zest to it, and mix some honey for a sweet flavor. People should have this detox drink lukewarm.
