The NEET PG 2024 exam was successfully held today by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. The exam was conducted at 416 centres in 170 cities across the country, with more than 2.28 lakh candidates appearing.

Two Shifts for Better Exam Centres

To ensure that candidates could take their exams in the best possible conditions, NEET PG 2024 was conducted in two shifts on the same day. This allowed NBEMS to choose the most reputed exam centres. The board also tried to allocate exam centres within the candidates’ own states as much as possible, making it easier for them to reach their centres.

Central Command Centre for Monitoring

To guarantee the smooth and secure conduct of the exam, NBEMS set up a central command centre at its Dwarka office in Delhi. Officials from the Union Health Ministry, the NBEMS Governing Body, and the Executive Director of NBEMS, along with their teams, closely monitored the examination process.

Vigilant Monitoring and Security

To ensure everything ran smoothly, over 1,950 independent appraisers and 300 flying squad members were deployed to the examination centres. Additionally, eight regional command centres were established to oversee the exam across different parts of the country.

Preventing Misinformation

In a bid to prevent any misinformation, NBEMS kept a close watch on social media. This ensured that only accurate and authentic information was shared with all stakeholders. The combination of heightened security measures and close coordination among various agencies made sure that NEET PG 2024 was conducted safely and smoothly, maintaining the integrity of the examination.
