New Delhi, September 09: A tragic incident has unfolded in Bihar’s Saran district. Where a 15-year-old boy lost his life after a botched gall bladder stone removal surgery performed by a fake doctor. The doctor, identified as Ajit Kumar Puri, who allegedly relied on YouTube videos to guide the procedure, is currently on the run.

The boy, whose name has not been disclosed, was admitted to Puri’s clinic in Madhaura on Friday night due to persistent vomiting and stomach pain. His family, seeking medical assistance, entrusted their son’s care to the ‘doctor’ who claimed to have the expertise to perform the necessary surgery.

According to the media reports, during the operation, the teen’s condition deteriorated rapidly. The family, alarmed by their loved one’s worsening state, protested the doctor’s actions.

Despite the family’s concerns, Puri persisted with the procedure. Eventually, recognizing the gravity of the situation, he decided to transport the boy to a hospital in Patna. Unfortunately, the teenager succumbed to his injuries en route.

Fake Doctor Performs Medical Surgery, Patient Dies

The fake doctor, upon realizing the fatal consequences of his actions, fled the scene, leaving the boy’s body behind. The family, devastated by the loss of their child, filed a complaint with local police, accusing Puri of negligence and malpractice. They allege that the ‘doctor’ was unqualified and inexperienced, and that his actions were directly responsible for the teenager’s death.

A case has been registered against Puri and his clinic staff, and police are conducting raids to apprehend the accused. The authorities are also investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident and the qualifications of the individuals involved.

The Dangers of Unqualified Medical Practitioners

This tragic event highlights the grave dangers of seeking medical treatment from unqualified individuals. Relying on YouTube videos or online resources for medical advice can have severe consequences. It is crucial to consult with qualified healthcare professionals for any medical concerns.
