Eye yoga could be a great way to reduce stress and relax your eyes. It includes simple exercises to help relieve eye strain and tension and reduce eye fatigue. Here are some of the eye yoga poses for stress reduction:

1.Figure 8: The smooth, controlled eye movements are encouraged by imagining and tracing a pattern of eight figures with your eyes. If you want to improve eye coordination and agility, then this exercise is helpful. You engage multiple eye muscles when you follow the pattern with your eyes, which promotes relaxation.

2.Palming: This technique involves creating a warm, dark environment for your eyes, which helps to relax them. When you rub your hands together, heat is generated and the muscles around your eyes are warmed when you put them over your closed eyes. Palming also blocks the light from entering your eyes, thus preventing visual stimulation.

3.Eye Press: Acupressure points around the eyes are stimulated by applying gentle pressure to the eyelids with your fingers. This may help to reduce tension in the eye area, thereby promoting relaxation. By closing your eyes while pressing gently, you’re also giving your eyes a brief break from visual stimuli, allowing them to rest and rejuvenate.

4.Blink: It helps to moisturize and refresh the eyes by blinking quickly for a few seconds. People are often blinking less when they look at screens in today’s digital age, which leads to dry eyes and discomfort. You’ll spread tears across the surface of your eyes, which will lubricate them and reduce their dryness, by consciously blinking.

5. Focus shifting: This exercise helps strengthen the eye muscles, improving focus flexibility. By alternately focusing on a near object (your thumb) and a distant object, you’re exercising your eye’s ability to adjust and accommodate different distances. This can decrease eye strain from prolonged close working, such as when you look at a screen.

6. Rolling your eyes: Rolling your eyes in a circular motion helps to stretch and relax your muscles around your eyes. It also helps to improve circulation in the eye, which in turn results in reducing tiredness and puffiness. The slow and deliberate approach to this exercise enables you to concentrate on each movement, which makes it more relaxing.

It is practically possible to relieve eye strain, reduce stress, and promote overall eye health by practicing these things. Try incorporating these yoga poses into your daily routine.
