Critical Nephrology Society of India Launches CNSICON ’26 with Grand Inaugural Conference in Delhi

New Delhi, : The Critical Nephrology Society of India (CNSI) marked a historic milestone with the successful inauguration of its first annual conference, CNSICON ’26, held at Shangri-La Eros, New Delhi.

The prestigious conference was inaugurated under the esteemed guidance of Padma Shri Dr. (Prof.) D. S. Rana, Chief Patron, whose presence added immense value and inspiration to the occasion. The event brought together leading nephrologists, intensivists, and healthcare professionals from across the country. Fostering a collaborative platform for advancing critical nephrology care in India.

In his address, Dr. D. S. Rana emphasized the growing need for specialized care in critically ill kidney patients and highlighted the importance of innovation, research, and multidisciplinary collaboration in improving patient outcomes.

“The burden of kidney-related critical illnesses is steadily rising in India. Platforms like CNSICON are essential to bring together expertise, encourage research, and strengthen clinical practices to deliver better and timely care to patients,” said Dr. Rana.

The conference commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Vinant Bhargava. Organising Secretary, followed by insightful sessions led by eminent experts in the field.

Dr. (Prof.) Ajay Swaroop, Chief Guest, highlighted the importance of integrated healthcare systems in managing critically ill patients, stating:

“Critical care today demands a seamless integration of multiple specialties. Nephrology plays a pivotal role in intensive care units, and forums like CNSICON help in building stronger clinical frameworks and knowledge-sharing ecosystems that ultimately benefit patient care.”

Dr. (Prof.) Jayashree Sood, Guest of Honour, spoke about the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration and continuous learning:

“The future of critical care lies in collaboration and continuous upskilling. Bringing together experts from different domains allows us to create more effective, patient-centric treatment protocols. Especially in complex cases involving renal complications.”

Dr. Manish Malik, Organising Chairman of CNSICON ’26, expressed his vision for the conference, stating:

“CNSICON ’26 marks the beginning of a collaborative journey to strengthen critical nephrology practices in India. Through this initiative, we aim to bring together leading minds to address the growing burden of kidney-related critical illnesses.”

The conference also included detailed talks about new developments in critical care nephrology, teamwork across different medical fields. New ideas in dialysis and kidney support treatments, and plans for future training programs and academic partnerships.

CNSICON’26 sets a strong foundation for future engagements by CNSI, reinforcing its commitment to excellence in patient care, research, and education in the field of critical nephrology.
