Doctors have informed the media that during the past week, multiple cases of typhoid, viral fever, and gastro intestinal illnesses have been reported throughout Kolkata. According to medical professionals, this is a typical pattern for this time of year. Enteric fever-causing Salmonella typhi, E. coli, Campylobacter jejuni, vibrio cholera, and a few cases of Shigella have been identified.

Important signs of gastrointestinal viral fever to be aware of:

Typhoid fever is characterized by a persistently high fever, which can often reach 103–104°F (39–40°C). Typhoid fever sufferers often feel extremely weakened and tired; thus they may find it hard to carry out their routine day-to-day activities. Commonly, pain is felt around the stomach area often associated with some uneasiness around the navel. Commonly, there are instances where headaches persist ranging from mild forms up to intense ones in those affected by this disease.

Causes of the gastrointestinal viral fever spike:
