NEET-PG 2024: NBEMS Warns Against Fraudsters, Urges Candidates to Stay Alert

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has cautioned NEET-PG 2024 candidates to avoid being tricked by fraudsters offering exam questions for money. With just one day left for the exam, students are worried about a potential paper leak.

Congress MP Shashi Tharoor has also asked the government to postpone the NEET-PG exam, citing a previous NEET-UG paper leak. In response, NBEMS released test day guidelines for candidates to follow.

NBEMS officials discovered through routine internet checks that some people are trying to scam NEET-PG candidates on social media. The NBEMS has filed a police complaint against these fraudsters and warned that any aspirants involved will face consequences.

Medicos are anxious about the situation. One user on X expressed concern: “They might have already sold and leaked the paper. First postponement of #NEET PG, then preponement, then change of pattern just 2 months before the exam, now this paper leak fiasco. On top of that, admit card issues. Tremendous mismanagement. Should’ve solved these issues before taking the exam.”

Another user recalled past paper leaks: “Paper leak is a common thing. I remember they cancelled Delhi PG in 2010 just 10 days before the exam, then AIIMS took over, and then NEET PG. And I am 100% sure the top 10 ranks at AIIMS SS and PG are always rigged.”

Aspirants are calling for the exam to be postponed: “NEET PG 2024 must be extended as in this paper leak and malicious environment, exams to be postponed as it’s tough to accept fair examination procedure right now.”

Regarding the NEET-PG exam pattern, NBEMS announced mandatory time-bound sections for all MCQ-based exams, including NEET-PG. Despite criticism, the board explained the revised pattern: if there are five sections, each part will have 40 questions with 42 minutes to attempt.

NEET-PG 2024 will be a computer-based test (CBT) from 7 am to 6 pm, consisting of 200 MCQs divided into time-bound sections over 3 hours and 30 minutes.
