Dr. Mandaviya’s Keynote Address Highlights India’s Commitment to a Healthier World

Geneva, Switzerland – Union Health Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya will be representing India at the 76th World Health Assembly, held in Geneva from May 21st to May 30th, 2023. With a firm focus on addressing critical healthcare challenges, Dr. Mandaviya will emphasize the priorities of Universal Health Coverage, Public Health Emergencies, Health & Well-being, and strengthening the World Health Organization (WHO).

In his keynote address at the side events, Dr. Mandaviya will underline India’s commitment to a healthier world. The events ‘Heal in India and Heal by India’ and ‘Together we fight against TB’ will highlight India’s contributions in the field of Medical Value Travel and its resolve to eliminate Tuberculosis from the country by 2025.

Bilateral Meetings and Collaborations to Foster Global Healthcare Partnerships

During his stay, Dr. Mandaviya will engage in various bilateral meetings, fostering opportunities for healthcare collaborations. Representatives from Singapore, France, Netherlands, USA, Bangladesh, Argentina, Brazil, Qatar, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation will participate in these meetings. A multilateral meeting with representatives from BRICS (Brazil, Russia, China, and South-Africa) is also scheduled.

Discussions Focus on Universal Health Coverage, Public Health Emergencies, and Strengthening the World Health Organization

The 76th World Health Assembly will be a platform for discussions and deliberations on crucial issues. Universal Health Coverage, Public Health Emergencies, Health & Well-being, and strengthening the World Health Organization will take center stage. Dr. Mandaviya will highlight the importance of global collaborations and partnerships in building a resilient global health architecture and achieving Universal Health Coverage through value-based healthcare.
