New Delhi, October 29: Extending his greeting to the nation on the occasion of World Ayurveda Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday says he is confident that the ancient medicine system will be useful for the health of entire humanity.

“I wish all my countrymen a very happy Ayurveda Day. This auspicious occasion of Lord Dhanvantari’s birth anniversary associated with the utility and contribution of Ayurveda in our great culture. The importance of which is being acknowledged by the whole world today,” PM Modi said on X.

Ayurveda, an age-old healing system, is deeply intertwined with Indian culture and philosophy. Every year on October 29, we celebrate Ayurveda Day to promote awareness about its foundational principles, medicinal herbs, and lifestyle practices. Prime Minister Narendra Modi believes that Ayurveda will continue to bring benefits to humanity, highlighting its relevance in today’s health conversations. This article delves into the significance of Ayurveda, its advantages, and current efforts to advance this holistic health approach.

Translating to the ‘science of life,’ Ayurveda encompasses a total approach to physical, mental, and spiritual wellness. Unlike conventional medicine, which often merely treats symptoms, Ayurveda targets the root causes of health issues. By harmonizing the body’s energies—referred to as doshas—Ayurveda fosters overall wellness. Utilizing natural remedies such as herbs, dietary practices, and lifestyle adjustments, it provides a sustainable solution for many individuals.

As our lives become busier and more reliant on synthetic medications, Ayurveda presents a refreshing option. With growing concerns regarding the side effects of modern drugs, many people are seeking out natural alternatives. Ayurveda’s focus on preventive care and tailored treatment plans resonates well with contemporary health trends, making it increasingly relevant. The confidence expressed by PM Modi in Ayurveda mirrors a broader acknowledgment of its potential to enhance global wellness.

Recognizing World Ayurveda Day: Taking Action

Ayurveda Day each year is a vital reminder of this ancient science’s significance. It inspires individuals to delve into Ayurvedic practices and incorporate them into their daily lives. Throughout the country, various events and workshops aim to educate people about Ayurveda, covering everything from herbal treatments to yoga and meditation. This year’s theme emphasizes integrating World Ayurveda Day practices into daily health routines, creating a closer connection between people and this holistic approach.
