Being a woman means you are going to be busy almost all the time. This is mainly because women often have to play multiple roles. From taking care of family and kids at home to completing all tasks in the office, women are known for their multitasking abilities. Not only this, they have often a lot of things to do in between the office and home. As a result, they often ignore issues that can have a negative impact on their overall health. But there are certain symptoms that should not be ignored as they can be the onset of certain diseases that can get complicated if not detected at an early stage. Here we are going to tell you about some of these troublesome symptoms that women should not ignore.

Change in menstrual periods: A woman is the best judge when it comes to what is normal regarding the menstrual cycle. Period of women will change throughout their life. But they need to visit a doctor in case they notice anything out of the ordinary. These changes can be drastic changes in the quantity, flow, duration and even the amount of pain during periods. They can be related to normal menopause but might also indicate benign conditions like Polycystic Ovaries or Uterine Fibroids.

Abnormal breast lump: If you notice any lump that sticks to the chest wall or skin or changes in the appearance of the nipple, it is advisable to seek immediate medical attention. This is because they can be signs of breast cancer.

Sudden weight change: Sudden weight loss can be a signal of a health problem. This can usually be due to overactive thyroid, diabetes, or liver disease. On the other hand, sudden weight gain can be because of underactive thyroid, depression or other metabolic diseases.

Frequent shortness of breath: It is well known that women are more prone to having so-called ‘silent heart attacks.’ Sometimes insufficient blood supply can be the reason behind shortness of breath. This causes exertion on the heart muscle and can be dangerous. Extreme fatigue and breathlessness are signs that you can be more prone to heart attacks. Anemia and lung disease can also be the reasons for shortness of breath.

Skin changes: If you are experiencing sudden changes in your skin, like darkened armpits or multiple skin tags, it could be a sign of Prediabetes.
