The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released admit cards for students retaking the NEET UG 2024 exam. This retest is for those who received extra marks due to lost exam time. Students can download their hall tickets for the June 23 exam from the official NTA website, neet.ntaonline.in.

The NTA decided that these students, who were given extra marks, need to either retake the exam or accept their original scores without the extra marks. The students were informed about this decision through email.

This year, 1,563 students received extra marks because they lost time during the NEET exam on May 5. These students were from six exam centers: Balod and Dantewada in Chhattisgarh, Surat, Meghalaya, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Bahadurgarh. The retest will take place in the same cities but at different centers.

The NTA also announced that the results of the retest will likely be released before June 30. This is to ensure that counseling for college admissions can start on July 6. Recently, the Union Home Minister, Amit Shah, held a meeting with the Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Health Minister J P Nadda, and a representative from the Prime Minister’s Office to discuss this matter with the NTA.

The NEET UG 2024 results were initially declared on June 4. This year, 67 students achieved the top rank in NEET UG 2024. Among the participants, 17 were transgender candidates. A total of 13,31,321 female candidates and 9,96,393 male candidates took the exam.
