In a shocking incident, a doctor from Mumbai found a human finger in the ice cream order he ordered. Dr. Brendan Ferrao, who lives in Orlem, Malad, ordered three ice cream cones through an online app. One of these was a butterscotch cone from the Yummo brand.

Dr. Ferrao shared his horrifying experience, explaining, “As I got to the middle of the ice cream, suddenly I felt a big piece in there. Initially, I thought that it might be a big nut. Luckily, I didn’t consume it. However, after looking at it up close, I saw a nail over it.”

This happened on Wednesday, and since then, Dr. Ferrao has been very disturbed. He described feeling numbness on his tongue and was shocked by the idea of having a human body part in his mouth. He expressed his concern about the ice cream being contaminated and mentioned the need for a full blood check-up to ensure his safety.

“Since yesterday, I have been feeling numbness over my tongue. I was in conflict with myself about how I could have a human being’s body part in my mouth just like that. When I saw the package, it had been manufactured a month ago. This is the height of medical negligence. I need to get a full blood check-up, as the human finger might have contaminated the ice cream, and in turn me.”

Dr. Ferrao also mentioned feeling traumatized by the incident, comparing it to PTSD. “Now, when I think about the ice cream, I feel traumatised, like I am having PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder).”

After discovering the finger, Dr. Ferrao reported the incident to the police in Malad. A case has been filed against the Yummo Ice Cream company, and the ice cream sample has been sent for forensic investigation.

A senior police officer spoke to the news agency PTI about the case. “The complainant in the case, a 26-year-old doctor with MBBS degree who stays in Malad west, had ordered a butterscotch ice-cream cone of Yummo company. While consuming the ice-cream after lunch, he came across a half-an-inch long piece of flesh with a nail in the ice cream.”

The police added that the piece of flesh, suspected to be part of a human finger, is being examined to confirm if it is indeed a human finger. Further investigation is ongoing to understand how this could have happened.
