As Women’s Day 2021 is around the corner, a short ad film by pregnancy test kit brand Prega News went viral on internet to celebrate the special occasion. The ad has came up with a powerful message.

The short film with a message about infertility has already crossed a million views on YouTube, gathering praises for its subtle and yet powerful message.

The video highlights how the issue of infertility impacts the mental health of women who are unable to conceive.

The video featuring Mona Singh emphasizes how it affects the emotional, mental, and physical well-being of women.

The ad film spreads a message about “celebrating every woman for who she is and that #SheIsCompleteInHerself”, and doesn’t need a child to feel fulfilled.

In the short video, Mona Singh plays the elder daughter-in-law of the house who is unable to conceive while her younger sister-in-law gets pregnant right after getting married and entering the household.

The pregnancy of her sister is being celebrated with all family members preparing for her baby.

On the other hand, the elder daughter-in-law, Mona Singh seeing this feelings for the intense longing for a child. The family is considering a possible name for the baby. When Singh is asked for the same, she gets up on the pretext of fetching rice pudding for everyone.

Seeing this, the younger sister-in-law gets up and embraces her elder sister-in-law, with everyone joining in to make her feel wanted.

To understand the pain of women who can’t conceive, the ad intends to invoke a sense of compassion among its audience, forcing them to think about the problem of infertility.

“One out of six couples in urban India battle infertility and its social, emotional, and physical consequences are harsher for women,” show the ending credits of the ad film.

“This Women’s Day, Prega News embraces every woman for the completeness in herself,” states the ending caption of the video.
