Ajwain also known as carom seeds, is a spice that is frequently used in Indian cooking and traditional medicines. It is derived from the fruits of the Ajwain plant (Trachyspermum Ammi), which is grown throughout Asia and is endemic to the eastern Mediterranean region. The tiny, oval-shaped seeds of ajwain have a very strong flavour and scent.

Ajwain seeds are also well-known for their antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, which makes them a popular component in natural remedies for various health issues, such as respiratory disorders, menstrual cramps, and gum problems. It can be beneficial for promoting hair growth, nourishing the scalp, and preventing hair loss.

Here are some ways you can incorporate ajwain into your hair care routine for nourishing your scalp and prevent hair loss:

  1. Ajwain Seed Paste: Grind the seeds into a fine powder and combine them with yogurt or water to form a paste. Focusing on the roots of your hair, apply this paste on your scalp. Leave it on for about 30 minutes before rinsing it off with water. Dandruff removal, scalp cleaning, and hair growth stimulation are all possible with ajwain seed paste.
  2. Ajwain Water Rinse: Boil ajwain seeds in water and allow to cool down. Use this ajwain water as a final rinse after shampooing your hair. In addition to strengthening hair follicles and preventing hair loss, the nutrients in ajwain water can nourish the scalp.
  3. Ajwain Hair Pack: To make a hair pack, mix ajwain powder with other hair-nourishing products such as yogurt, aloe vera gel, or egg white. Cover the entire scalp and hair with this pack. Leave it on for 30-45 minutes before washing it off with a gentle shampoo. This hair pack has the potential to improve hair health, lessen hair loss, and condition the hair.
  4. Ajwain Oil Massage: To make Ajwain oil, infuse Ajwain seeds in a carrier oil such as olive or coconut oil. The oil should be heated until the seeds begin to crackle and release their essence. After it has cooled, massage the oil into your hair roots and scalp. After leaving it on for a few hours or overnight, remove it with a gentle shampoo. Ajwain oil massages on a regular basis can help stimulate hair follicles and encourage the growth of healthy hair.

Including ajwain in your hair care routine will strengthen your hair follicles, nourish your scalp, and result in healthier, fuller hair. To make sure you do not experience any side effects, you must undertake a patch test before to utilizing ajwain or any other natural cure. For the best effects, add these treatments into your routine daily as consistency is also important.
