A college student suddenly collapsed due to a sudden heart attack while attending a coaching class in Indore Madhya Pradesh. He suddenly felt chronic chest pain while attending a coaching class for the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) entrance exam amidst dozens of MPPSC aspirants. CCTV footage of the distressing incident has been doing the rounds on the internet. In the 32-second long video, a young boy wearing a black shirt can be seen attending the class attentively along with other MPPSC aspirants in an overcrowded large room, when he suddenly rests over his desk and seems to be in some uneasiness within ten seconds into the video. Finding him in distress, other students try to rub his back to make him calm down a little bit. However, seconds later the young man completely collapses and slips off his desk onto the floor.

The young man was immediately taken to a private healthcare facility by other alarmed students after they realized the need for a medical emergency. However, the 18-year-old boy tragically lost his life a few hours after being admitted to the hospital. The sudden demise of the young boy has again brought the focus on the terrifying issue of silent heart attacks that have been taking place in Indore. In recent weeks, there have been around four deaths due to this phenomenon of silent heart attack in the city. People who suffer cardiac incidents without any visible signs and symptoms are suspected to be suffering from silent heart attacks that makes early diagnosis quite hard.

There were multiple accounts of deaths due to silent heart attacks last year including the death of a 55-year-old entrepreneur who lost his life while working out and a 16-year-old girl who passed away due to a suspected cardiac incident in school. These sudden deaths due to a suspected heart attack emphasize the urgent requirement for more awareness and preventative measures and efforts.
