Other than that Dairy Products, Fast Food, Chocolate, Greasy Food, Whey Protein Powder, Refined Grains, and foods rich in omega-6 fats can also cause acne.

“Masturbating does not cause acne. Masturbation has a number of physical and mental health benefits, such as reducing stress and physical tension,” said Dr. Dhingra.

Dr. Dhingra said, “Best treatment for acne problem is to go and meet the cosmetic doctor and follow some prescribed medicines. Hence, the most common topical prescription medications for acne are:
- Retinoids and retinoid-like drugs. Drugs that contain retinoic acids or tretinoin are often useful for moderate acne.
- Antibiotics. These work by killing excess skin bacteria and reducing redness and inflammation.
- Azelaic acid and salicylic acid.
- Dapsone.
