New Delhi, February 1- Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the annual budget in the lower house of the Parliament today and made significant budgetary announcements for healthcare industry.
Among them was the proposal of a Special Bridge course for training nurses and paramedical staff to cater the demand abroad.
The Finance Minister further said that the course may be designed by the Health Ministry in collaboration with professional bodies.
The budget also focused on manufacturing of medical devices along with electronic device keep in view the cost benefits in India. The Finance Minsiter said that a detailed program would be announced soon.
