NEET PG 2022 Exam: PIL Filed In Supreme Court; CPI(M) MP S Venkatesan Backs Students

NEET PF 2022

Frustrated with the clash in dates of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Postgraduate) 2022 or NEET PG 2022 with the counselling of the NEET PG 2021, students have now filed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) in the Supreme Court. According to a source, the PIL has been filed online on January 24. The plea is seeking postponement of NEET PG 2022 so that students can get adequate time between the NEET PG 2021 counselling and exams of PG 2022.

CPI(M) MP S Venkatesan Backs Students

Students who are demanding postponement of the exams are getting support from several unions as well as lawmakers.

Member of Parliament S. Venkatesan, from Madurai parliamentary constituency in Tamil Nadu, has written a letter to Union Health Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya raising the issue and demanded postponement of the exam.

NEET PG 2022 Exam: Junior Doctors, Students Demand Postponement As Dates Of 2021 Counselling Clash With 2022 Exam Schedule

“Postpone the NEET PG medical examinations…The examinations for NEET PG 2022 has been announced even before the counselling of 2021 NEET PG is complete…Does NEET always spell confusion, trouble and injustice for the students?” the CPI(M) MP wrote on its twitter handle.

Terming it unfair, Venkatesan said that he feels that the decision to conduct an examination before the end of the counselling for the previous year was taken without application of mind. “I would request you to intervene at the earliest and render justice by postponing the exams at least by one month,” he added.
