Indian doctors are heavily involved in treating patients affected by COVID 19 in India and globally. It is estimated that there are more than 1.4 million doctors of Indian origin. Having them on the ‘team’ over and, in this unprecedented time of world pandemic of Corona Virus, has made a huge difference.
This weekend saw 1.6 million proven cases of COVID 19 globally and number of death exceeded some 101000 worldwide. GAPIO recognise that these Indian doctors globally have as usual, found the ways to get the job ‘done’. It is really admirable. Your efforts strengthening our culture of being dutiful has not gone unnoticed.
Even when the going gets tough, the tough get going to continue to combat the gravest challenge with courage, determination, high spirits and best attitude. The pride you take in your work is truly inspiring. We recognise that in your duty many have fallen victims of this dreadful virus. Self isolation for those affected or suspected of being affected must have caused a lot of anxieties for you and the families, but we hope you recover soon and everyone is wishing for the speedy recovery with the kind grace of Almighty God. The saddest part is the one where in this line of duty, those who have sacrificed their lives as warriors. No words of sympathy or sadness can compensate the loss, but our thoughts are with the family and friends.
