Do’s
- Wash your hands frequently with soap and water
- Cover your mouth and nose with your bent elbow or tissue or handkerchief while coughing and sneezing
- Maintain 1-meter (~3 feet) distance between yourself and anyone and 2 meters (~6 feet) from anyone who is coughing and sneezing
- Throw used tissues into closed bins immediately after use, wash handkerchief frequently
- Keep doors open so that you and others don’t touch door handle/knobs frequently
- Use glasses instead of contact lenses
- Engage yourself in indoor activities, such as reading, writing, tv watching, gardening, yoga, meditation, praying, etc.
- Contact doctor if you develop cough, fever and difficult breathing
Don’ts
- Shake hands
- Touch your face too often (eyes, nose and mouth)
- Cough into the palms of your hands
- Have close contact with anyone, if you are experiencing cough and fever
- Spit in public
- Travel unless necessary
- Visit mosques, shrines, temples, gyms, clubs and crowded places
- Visit a barber, salon, spa or other high-touch non-essential services
- Spread rumors and panic
- Believe everything on the internet
