Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal continues to claim that he won’t let the national capital become the next New York and it is four steps ahead in this battle against the coronavirus but things appear to be totally different on the ground as a coronavirus patient was made to wait for 12 hours before being admitted to a hospital.
Delhi resident Anurag Singhal’s had to wait for 12 hours outside Sir Ganga Ram Hospital to get his coronavirus positive uncle admitted.
“We have been stranded in SGRH since morning with my uncle’s positive COVID report and we are not being admitted despite having available beds. Is this how a senior citizen given a treatment. I am standing with 5 lacs in my hand which they asked for with no security of admission,” Singhal tweeted.

Hours after he requested for help on the microblogging site, his uncle was admitted to the hospital. Singhal informed about this with another tweet.
“Even then the patient is lying at the reception since morning. Finally after 12 hrs of waiting we got admission in @sgrhindia Gangaram Delhi few mins backk. These are some serious issues (sic),” he wrote.

This happens days after a Delhi resident lost her father after a government-run hospital refused to admit him. According to Amarpreet, her father was having high fever and had to be shifted from Gangaram to Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan (LNJP) Hospital.
