The situation around the containment of COVID19 is evolving.Till the time danger of corona passes away and we again unite together to get back to normal routine, it is important that we follow instruction of social distancing in spirit and letter. Though going on quarantine is easy said than done, but not to forget that this is an emergency and we have to help each other by maintaining distance. In my case I believe in being conservative from early stage itself rather than taking things for granted.
Must Do Things to Protect Yourself
- Wash your hands frequently
- Avoid touching your eyes, mouth and nose.
- Cover your mouth and nose with your bent elbow or tissue when you cough or sneeze
- Avoid crowded places
- Stay at home if you are unwell-even with slight fever and cough.
- If you have fever, cough, difficulty in breathing seek medical care early – but call on phone first
Work from home, social distancing and isolating can get emotionally draining, very boring so I got my thinking caps on, aiming on things to do in order to make most of the this time together. sharing ways for making this healing process worthy when we will look back at it.
- Keep room well ventilated. Fresh air and sun works wonder on both mind and body and also minimizes spread of pathogens.
- Read Books – enjoy the joy of reading. Read to yourself and then read it to your kids to.
- Listen to Music, like really just listen to music and do nothing else. Feel its lyrics, the beat, pounding in your heart. This will be a different experience all together.
- Rest, Learn ways to be still -Meditate, Pray.
- Exercise – Movement gets the blood circulation going which in turns improves our immune system as well as mood. Do that jumba , yoga and meditation. Slow breathing is solution to most of the problems in life. Even Quarantine.
- Call family and friends – In this testing times when the whole world is stressed, people are acting out of fear. It is important that we help each other. Keep calling your family and friends, especially those who are staying alone.
- Play Board games – Too many things to catch up. It has been long time that we have sat together and played board games. One of the best family bonding ways along with self-quarantining.
- Movies – Time to grab that popcorn and watch all those movies which has been there on your bucket list but never got a chance to stream it.
- Think differently
Very soon you will be back to regular, till then use every bit of it and till then stay healthy, stay calm and support each other.
