AIIMS New Delhi Embraces Indian CPR guidelines.

In a move to become 100% Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation(CPR) trained institute, AIIMS Delhi has signed a MOU with Indian Resuscitation Council Federation (IRCF). Director AIIMS, New Delhi signed the memorandum with Chairman of IRCF. The MOU was signed in presence of Dr. M. Srinivas, (Director), Prof. Lokesh K. (HOD Anaesthesiology, Pain Medicine and Critical Care), Dr. Shailendra Kumar (Faculty, Dept of Anaesthesiology, Pain Medicine and Critical Care), Dr. Vinay Kumar (President RDA) from AIIMS, New Delhi and Dr Siddha SC Chakra Rao (Chairman IRCF), Dr J V Divatia (President ISA), Dr. Sheila Myatra (President ISCCM) and Prof. Rakesh Garg (Scientific Director, IRCF). Now, AIIMS has become Comprehensive Resuscitation Training Centre (CRTC) of IRCF and will train & certify its Doctors, paramedical staff and employees with made in India CPR courses for cardiac arrest treatment. These courses have been developed with experts from all over the country and are made considering our cultural and socioeconomic background. This initiative will ensure these lifesaving skills spread widely and benefit our countrymen. Dr. Shailendra Kumar of Dept. of Anaesthesiology will be leading the program in AIIMS, New Delhi.
