A shocking development has been reported in Norway. It is reported as many as 23 elderly people have died within a short time of receiving their first COVID-19 shots. Several people apart from 23 deaths have fallen ill due to the Pfizer-BioNTech coronavirus vaccine.
The Norwegian Institute of Public Health have warned against vaccinating elderly people above 80 years of age saying those with a short life span may not benefit much from the vaccination.
“For those with the most severe frailty, even relatively mild vaccine side effects can have serious consequences,” the Norwegian regulator further said Bloomberg.
The Norwegian authorities are to investigate the deaths in Norway with the help of Pfizer and BioNTech.
According to Pfizer, the regulator discovered “the number of incidents so far is not alarming and in line with expectations”.
According to experts, 13 out of 23 people who died showed common side effects of mRNA vaccines such as diarrhea, nausea and fever, although there is a direct a correlation between the Pfizer jab and these deaths which is yet to be established.
The doctors need to practice strong caution in vaccinating people in the rise of deaths of 23 elderly people according to experts’s strong opinion.
According to a recent report of the Norwegian Medicines Agency, 21 women and 8 men showed side effects.
Nine people out of 23 deaths reported serious side effects without fatal outcomes such as allergic reactions, strong discomfort and severe fever.
However, seven people reported less serious side effects such as severe pain at the injection site.
Meanwhile, at least one dose of the Pfizer or Moderna coronavirus vaccines have been administered by Norway to approximately 33,000 people by end of December.
