True Spirit Of India Wins Over Covid-19; Doctors, Patients Show Their Festive Moves

In the midst of a pandemic, health workers around the world are working hard to cater to the needs of the patients and have been selflessly doing their duties. Doctors at multiple instances go above and beyond their duty to cheer up Covid-19 patients.

In such grim times, doctors are not only saving people but are also trying to lift up their spirits. Medical staff can be seen using creative ways such as dancing and singing to cheer up isolated patients.

The clip of doctors shaking a leg on the tune “Ghungroo” from the Bollywood film “War,” starring Hrithik Roshan spread cheer across the patients when its total case count neared 77 lakh.

In a video shared on Twitter by Dr. Syed Faizan Ahmad, Dr. Arup Senapati of Silchar Medical College in Assam was captured on video dancing effortlessly in the protective gear.

“It was the last of the seven days of grueling duty at the Covid ward,” said Dr. Senapati, — my colleagues had already told me that I must dance on the last day of my duty.”

The performance took place in the recovery room at the Silchar Medical College & Hospital, in the presence of a few patients and a team of doctors.

Actor Hrithik Roshan responded and praised the doctor for his moves and spirit. “Tell Dr Arup I’m gonna learn his steps and dance as good as him someday in Assam. Terrific spirit,” the actor wrote on Twitter.

This Navratri, Mumbai’s Goregaon also witnessed a unique Garba. The women were seen in PPE kits amid the dangers of the novel coronavirus looming large.

Healthcare professionals of the Nesco Covid-19 center in Goregaon who performed Garba with patients to boost their morale on Monday.

In a video on social media, they were seen performing the dance moves in a big circle inside the Covid ward.

Earlier in July ITBP personnel conducted Yoga sessions inside Sardar Patel Covid Care Centre and Hospital, Radha Soami Beas, Chhatarpur, New Delhi.

In an ITBP-sourced video on July 17, Covid-19 patients were seen wearing masks and maintaining social distance at the Covid care center.

Many videos of doctors dancing to boost patients’ morale, beat their own stress and spread positivity has emerged from different parts of the country, including Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, and many others.

These videos had earned high praise on the internet, where people applauded the doctors’ spirit and sense of humor despite working long hours in PPE kits to treat a highly contagious and deadly disease.
