Beijing, February 3: With Novel Coronavirus claiming over 361 lives China, the Chinese government said on Monday that it “urgently needs” medical masks, the shortage of which could be detrimental to Chinese efforts in containing the virus.
In a press briefing today, the foreign ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said, “What China urgently needs at present are medical masks, protective suits, and safety goggles.”
Figures reveal that the death toll in the country has surpassed that of the 2002 SARS outbreak, as more than 17,000 have been reportedly infected with 2019- nCoV.
